This statute makes any restrictions on the installation of solar energy devices void and unenforceable.

While it is true an HOA cannot prohibit installation of solar devices, ARS 33-1816 grants the HOA the right to adopt reasonable rules regarding the placement of such devices. And no such project can be started without first obtaining approval from the CATHOA Architectural Control Committee.
